GALLERIE V is a Cambridge-based youth gallery which opened its doors on May 19, 2021.

We provide free, public exhibitions in order to support, inspire, and educate the local youth community, as well as to showcase artists aged 14-25 from all over the UK. By exhibiting budding artists in a professional environment, we hope to give our network of alumni a sense of accomplishment and pride in their artistic careers, as well as providing a platform for artists to express their themselves and develop their creative potential.

Located in downtown Cambridge, the four floors of GALLERIE V are located opposite St John's chapel in the heart of a town where millions of people flock each year, thus providing an unmatched exposure to our artists.

In our projects, we aim to be accessible and relevant to our local community. Since opening, we have hosted 20 exhibitions, 1 performance evening, 4 charity fundraisers, 4 pop-up exhibitions, 1 film screening, 4 anniversary exhibitions, and 20 opening nights. In our curated open exhibition shows, we exhibit a wide variety of high-quality art pieces of many types of mediums and styles for the public to enjoy.

GALLERIE V is supported by the De Reus Foundation.

Aflagship independent gallery, Gallerie V has exhibited more than 250 young artists across 24 exhibitions over a five-year period. Based in Cambridge, the gallery was established as a youth-focused initiative dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and educating young people, while showcasing emerging artistic talent from diverse backgrounds across the UK.

It offers a professional platform for young creatives to present their work, gain meaningful exposure, and build confidence in their artistic practice. In selected and curated exhibitions, artists exhibited their work, enabling access to public audiences that may otherwise have been unattainable. Gallerie V was fully funded by the De Reus Foundation, with a commitment to making art accessible to both local communities and visiting audiences through free-entry exhibitions.
Public engagement was further strengthened through the development of a highly successful volunteer programme, bringing together like-minded individuals motivated by a shared sense of purpose and community contribution. Drawing inspiration and creativity from young artists across the UK, annual competitions were held and winning artworks exhibited in the gallery.

Gallerie V displays works from young people between the ages of 14-25. It has also supported and partnered with schools, universities and charities, including Cambridge University, Anglia Ruskin University, The Leys School, Chesterton College, Centre 33, Fitzwilliam Museum (shortlisted for Art Fund's Museum of the Year award 2026) and Kettle's Yard.
